Ristorante Castello is a rustically restaurant which serves modern and delicious dishes. The stuff was friendly and helped us with the choices of dishes. Even though I did not expect some prices to be that high. That day I did not want to eat pasta or pizza and rather wanted to go for fish or meat. Unfortunately the prices for all fish and meat dishes were more than 20€, so I chose Salat with tuna and ham. For the kitchen it wasn’t a problem to change the ham with more tuna and overall the salat was a huge portion and super delicious. I recommend taking the mustard dressing. My family mostly took pasta dishes which were delicious. I need to admit that the menu with the recommended dishes included delicious sounding dishes, especially because of the saisonal ingredients. My parents shared a big pizza, which had lots of cheese and therefore was too fatty in our view. They could not finish it.
But the main point why I am giving the 3/5 stars are the prices. We needed to order a 0.75L water for literally 8.20€ which it extremely overprices considering that you can order a single bottle online for 1.30€. That is the only bottle of water you can order.
I went to the bathroom and as the restaurant, it is old and has one toilet and two pissoirs in the same room which you can lock. That was just weird and I hope they will renovate the bathroom soon.

Ordered the special, some kind of roast in mushroom sauce. Overcooked and dry meat, gritty mushrooms felt like they had sand in them. Overall flavor okay though a bit bland. My friends had pasta and praised it as excellent.
A gem outside of Berlin. Its shockingly good. The pizza is chewy with a generous amount of cheese. The goulash is awesome too. Definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is quite nice with brick walls dividing tables that produces a somewhat private feeling.
Had dinner here because it was close to our hotel. What an amazing find. Best Italian food we've had outside of Italy. Ravioli was incredible, goulash soup beyond belief and the two spaghetti dishes our party had were excellent. Top that off with friendly staff and great wine and beer and it was tops.
Food is good , made from scratch, very tasty .
